About the Artist
"Where can I get that on a shirt??"
This was never the route I had imagined for myself.
With a bachelor's in Fine Art (and a minor in Art History), I always thought that I'd follow a more traditional path with my artwork. My tools were brushes, oil paints, gesso, and palette knives. But I always had another side of me.. this silly, weird, childlike side. As a kid in school I would doodle silly little cartoons all day long to make my friends laugh. A watermelon sweating it's seeds out of its head was a crowd favorite (yes this guy existed and his name was Watty the Wattymelon). If you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have confidently replied "a cartoonist!".
As an adult (and starving artist) knowing I would likely never be able to support myself with my fine art alone, I did what many artists did; I branched out. I figured it would be fun to try something else. Inspired, I went back to elementary school! I doodled again.
This is what came out of my head. I hope it makes you smile (and maybe even buy something!)
My business, this website, and shop would not exist if it wasn't for all the amazing and generous people who backed me on Kickstarter and who continue to back me on Patreon. Thank you!
